Course overview
- What is a chaperone and what do they do?
You will discover what the expectations and requirements of a chaperone are, learning what is acceptable when carrying out this role and will be assessed in the form of a Quiz at the end of this course.
- Intimate examinations
You will explore what an intimate examination is and the appropriate discretionary measures required for this and will be assessed in the form of a Quiz at the end of this course.
- Key requirements
You will learn about the importance of record keeping and procedures in line with regulations required for a chaperone role and will be assessed in the form of a Quiz at the end of this course.
- Consent
You will learn what consent is and be able to identify whether the implied or implicit consent has been given at the start of the procedure and whether that consent remains valid throughout and will be assessed in the form of a Quiz at the end of this course.
- Summary
You will see a video of what an appropriate chaperone experience is, as opposed to what an inappropriate chaperone experience can look like, which will be assessed in the form of the quiz at the end.
- End of course assessment
This is where you will be able to show off all the information that you have learnt, there is quite a lot, so making notes would benefit you for a quick recap! You will need a pass rate of 80% or more to pass and obtain your certificate, which you can download and print on completion.
