Welcome to GP Healthcare Alliance’s Staff Inductions : A Manager’s Guide course.

This course is designed for Supervisors, Team Leaders, Managers/HR Managers and Company Owners/Partners who will be responsible for employing staff members, creating a constructive and thorough induction process. This could take up to 2 hours to complete for a novice, based on your prior knowledge and experience, it may take you less time and is suitable for people throughout the UK and could be applied Globally, although the legal  compliance and regulations would not be recognised Globally, as they are current UK standards (at the time of creating this course) being relevant for ‘Entry level’ and beyond.

The aim of this training is for the learner to be able to understand and successfully create a Staff Induction that is rigorous, clear and considerate towards the new Employee as well as being thorough for the Company. You will always adhere to your workplace protocols; gain an understanding of what you will need to do and why, maintaining professional practices throughout. All guidelines provided in the lessons within this course are correct and current at the time of writing. You will need to ensure that you follow any updated guidelines and work protocols within your practice and area.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore how including your team members within the induction process can enhance a new employee to feel welcome and included. 

  • To consider the importance of providing essential information, such as Company protocols and procedures.

  • Learn why performance expectations should be provided.

  • Consider/create clear company goals.

  • To recognise the importance of knowing where the new employee will fit in within the Company.

By completing this staff induction training course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of what is required as part of a staff induction, and learn the skills to enable new team members to integrate seamlessly :

  • Into their roles

  • Contribute effectively to team objectives

  • Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements within the company.

It would be beneficial to have a note pad at the ready, but please do not worry if you have not, there are downloadable files for your reference, which can be increased in size within this format if needed for eye comfort. 

There is an end of course Assessment.

This is where you will be able to show off all the information that you have learnt, there is quite a lot, so making notes would benefit you for a quick recap! You will need a pass rate of 80% or more to pass and be able to obtain your certificate, which can be downloaded and printed.
